Ms Halder has been a registered advocate in Dhaka Judge Court since 2005. She has extensive experience of working in National Legal Aid Organizations for the protection and promotion of rights of the women and children and their empowerment issues through local government. She started to work for economic empowerment of women at a very early stage at a national level with labor sectors and dealing cases for years. She has also been working as an independent researcher on the issue of leadership building, networking, knowledge building, team building, humanitarian assistance, project management, developmental work and advocacy, coordination, training and facilitation, compliance management, trafficking, migration and child marriage activities.

With her extensive experience, she developed good communication system and interpersonal skills for developing the capacity as a human being. As an advocate, she has suggested clients not only about legal matters but also about food and nutrition, health, right and other legal service support to the marginalized women and children through legal empowerment. She has worked with mainstreaming of vulnerable women and their children in different level. She has repeatedly provided necessary technical support to the specific target group for implementation of specific project agendas for their clients.

Ms Halder has long years of experience of worked with pregnant mother, child mother and victims for their legal support and organized their child safety through shelter home support service. She prepared necessary papers on child protection, malnutrition, child development, food protection and labor rights issues. She assisted to the vulnerable women for decision making position developing their capacity. She has prepared training manual, handouts and power point presentations. She also monitored the project implementation through partners and looked after financial management related to the program actions.

Among the many cases she handled, the case Ayesha Khatun Vs Jashim Uddin is very remarkable case to mainstream bagger community. Jashim Uddin had to pay BDT 2 Lac on behalf of Ayesha Khatun as per judge’s verdict. Brishti Khatun was reunited with her husband through family case. The innocent persons got bail from theft case and she brought the justice to most of her clients.

Jhuma is also a member of Dhaka Tax’s Bar Association I assisted 100s of clients for paying tax and vat.
