The advancement of fertility treatment around the world has allowed couples to have children where this would not have previously been possible. The law in the Bangladesh has had to adapt in response to these technological and social changes. It is true to say that although we would regard Bangladesh as one of the most liberal and permissive jurisdictions in the world, clients can often be shocked at their legal position when it comes to entering into surrogacy arrangements in particular.
